Pennsylvania is refusing the Trump administration's request for its statewide voter registration list, which contains personal information like Social Security and driver's license numbers.

The US Department of Justice targeted several states, saying it is trying to enforce election law.

Secretary of the Commonwealth Al Schmidt wrote a letter in response on Thursday, rejecting the request that he calls a "concerning attempt to expand the federal government's role in our country's electoral process."
