Morristown West football has a tall task in Week 1 as it hosts Greeneville at Burke-Toney Stadium to open the season.
For a generally young team that will see several new starters, head coach Alvin Sanders wants to get his group started on the right note and build good habits.
“I’m just looking for continued improvement and growth,” he said. “Each day we came out to practice, the kids are working, and we’re slowly getting better. So now that the season is here, we’re ready to go out, compete hard, play together and go out and execute. With that, if we can continue that trend of getting better and play the next play with each rep, I think we got a chance to be successful.”
