KINGSTON, N.Y. – A 2025-26 school district safety plan has been adopted with expectations that amendments will be made to address concerns that some policy depth is needed for students who are at risk because officials have been unable to translate data into sensitivity.

The omission of references to how concerns are handled by school resource officers when raised by students of color and students of marginalized identities was addressed on Wednesday, Aug. 20, during a Board of Education meeting.
