MONTGOMERY, Ala. – U.S. Senator Katie Britt is contributing $10,000 from her Alabama First leadership committee to Rhett Marques’ congressional campaign.

Marques, R-Enterprise, announced Thursday he is seeking the Republican nomination for Alabama’s 1st District. Current Congressman Barry Moore is running for Senate.

Britt, who also hails from Enterprise, said she is eager to see Marques become part of the Alabama congressional delegation.

“Rhett is a great friend and a strong conservative fighter who has always had my back and President Trump’s,” Britt said in a statement.
