The special assistant attorney general who was arrested in Newport last week has been placed on an unpaid leave from her $117,473-a-year job, a spokesman confirmed to The Providence Journal.

Devon Flanagan was arrested outside the Clarke Cooke House restaurant on Aug.14 and charged with trespassing after becoming defensive with police officers asking her to leave, berating them and saying they would "regret this" as she was handcuffed.
