SHELTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Shelton police say a former teacher and coach at Shelton High School was arrested Friday after they learned he was allegedly involved in a sexual relationship with a female student at the time.
Jason Kymer, 38, of Beacon Falls was charged with second-degree sexual assault, risk of injury to a child, and tampering with a witness.
Police said they first received information in June, when Kymer was still an employee with the school. When police contacted the female involved, she told them the relationship started when was was a 17-year-old student at the high school and the sexual contact happened in the school.
During the investigation, police also learned the female received a call from an unknown number. When she answered, she recognized Kymer's voice telling her
