The Lacombe Square Dance Club will be holding a benefit dance for The Broom Tree Foundation on Sunday, Sept. 14.

The event will feature live music by Swingshift and will include social dancing, line dancing, and square dancing.

While this dance is raising funds for The Broom Tree Foundation, it is also being put on to raise awareness about the Lacombe Square Dance Club, the Parkland Belles and Beaux.

"We are hoping to raise some awareness of the square dance scene, as there are many people who don't know it exists. We are hoping to draw some people in who don't know about it or see how much fun it can be," dance club member Linda Frank said.

"Everything made on this dance, 100 per cent of it goes to The Broom Tree," Bryan Fleming added.
