Another suspect has been arrested in connection with the frightening home invasion armed robbery of a well-known South Florida jeweler who was held at gunpoint with his family earlier this year.

Jean Carlos Honores Vasquez, 31, was arrested Thursday on charges of armed occupied burglary with a battery, armed kidnapping, armed robbery, Miami-Dade jail records show.

The charges stem from the March 13 home invasion robbery of York Valdes, who owns several York Jewelry stores in Miami-Dade.

According to an arrest affidavit, Valdes, his wife, their 17-month-old daughter and a family friend were at his home when the armed home invasion happened shortly before midnight.
