TWO RIVERS, Wis. (WBAY) - Two Rivers police responded to a reported sound of an explosion on the 2100 block of Hawthorne Ave. Thursday night.

Police say the sound was later described as a gunshot, and the 24-year-old homeowner admitted firing a shotgun in his home.

Officers got a search warrant and, with the Manitowoc County SWAT Team, went into the home and found a second man, 23 years old, in possession of a rifle.

The homeowner was arrested on suspicion of 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety, possession of a short-barreled shotgun, altering identification marks, bail jumping and disorderly conduct.

The 23-year-old was also taken into custody for felony and misdemeanor bail jumping and possession of THC.
