GLENVILLE, W.Va. (WBOY) — The West Virginia Department of Education is still enforcing its vaccine requirements—despite an executive order by Gov. Patrick Morrisey to allow exemptions—but two students in Gilmer County are attending school even though they have not been fully immunized.
Gilmer County Schools clarified in a Facebook post Friday that two current students are not compliant with the immunization requirements because the case is still in court. Those students were granted an injunction to attend school until the case has been settled. Only those two students in Gilmer County, along with a few others in other West Virginia school districts, have been granted the exemption.
