Local activists are calling the continued boycott of Target after the retail giant announced a leadership shakeup earlier this week.
Nekima Levy Armstrong, Monique Cullars-Doty, and Jaylani Hussein all helped organize a national boycott of Target in February, which comes after the retailer dropped a series of diversity initiatives following the return of Donald Trump to the White House.
The group asked people to continue to avoid the retailer as they held a press conference outside Target Headquarters in Minneapolis this week.
Levy Armstrong is a civil rights attorney and founder of the Racial Justice Network, Cullars-Doty is the co-founder of Black Lives Matter Minnesota, and Hussein is the Executive Director of the Council of Islamic-American Relations-Minnesota (CAIR).
“Target took
