Controversial Olympic boxing champion Imane Khelif is denying rumours she has retired.

Khelif accused former manager Nasser Yesfah of “betrayal” for telling a French newspaper that Khelif had retired, according to the Daily Mail .

The Algerian will not be participating at the World Championships now that sex testing has been introduced.

Yesfah told Nice Matin that Khelif was done boxing.

The boxer was a controversial figure along with Lin Yu-ting at the 2024 Paris Olympics as a gender eligibility debate raged.

Khelif was allowed to compete at the Games, even though the International Boxing Association had previously disqualified her, and won gold in her category, as did Lin.
