Trump Says He’ll Fire Top Fed Official Lisa Cook If She Refuses to Resign

President Donald Trump said Friday that he will fire Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook if she declines to resign after she was faced with allegations of mortgage fraud from his administration.

Appearing Friday morning at the White House Experience museum in Washington, D.C., Trump was asked by a reporter if he intends to ax the embattled Fed governor.

“Yeah, I’ll fire if she doesn’t resign. What she did was a bad … so I’ll fire her if she doesn’t resign,” he said.

Cook was the target of numerous X posts on Wednesday from Federal Housing Finance Agency honcho Bill Pulte , who accused her of mortgage fraud .
