DETROIT, Mich. (WNEM) – A shooting at a hospital in Detroit has left one woman dead, according to Detroit Police.

Detroit Police Chief Todd Bettison said the Henry Ford Hospital, located at 2799 West Grand Boulevard in Detroit, was placed on lock down in the morning of Friday, Aug. 22 for a reported shooting. The shooting happened in the hospital’s basement and stemmed from a domestic dispute.

Police said the suspect, 65-year-old Bloomfield resident Mario Green, was recorded on surveillance video leaving the hospital through a front entrance at about 9:55 a.m. Investigators say Green got into a verbal altercation with his ex-wife before shooting and killing her.
