In a huge win for fans of free events that are fun for the whole family, Asian culture and the fall season as a whole, the Dallas Moon Festival is returning to Flag Pole Hill Park on Sept. 6.
The festival, which is celebrating its second year, is inspired by the mid-autumn moon festivals that are common across Asian cultures. Traditionally, these events have honored the harvest season and the gathering of families and communities. Dallas’ Moon Festival aims to do the same with food, art and live performances that represent the full scope of Asian culture in the city.
The main stage will host traditional dance performances from across Asia and the Pacific Islands, including the elegant Korean fan dance known as Buchaechum and Tinikling, the national dance of the Philippines. Fetu u le P
