The Justice Department is expected to send a first trove of documents from its investigation into sex offender Jeffrey Epstein to the House Oversight Committee on Friday. The committee, chaired by James Comer (R-Kentucky), said earlier this week it would publicly release redacted versions of the documents but did not specify when that would happen.

It was not immediately clear how many documents officials intend to turn over to the committee or what information they will contain, nor is it known how many batches of documents the House could get after Friday. Committee members from both sides of the aisle are expected to receive the documents.
