An elderly Alberta man is charged with assault regarding an altercation at an Espanola campground.

Manitoulin OPP said officers responded Wednesday around 11 p.m. to the incident.

“Police attended the campground and initiated an investigation,” the OPP said in a release. “As a result, one person was arrested for assault.”

Sergey Adamov, 70, from Calgary, was charged with assault causing bodily harm.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola on Oct. 6.
