Congress St. closes for multiple hours this afternoon, and again next week

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Congress St. between Barnard and Whitaker will be closed today, August 22, 2025, until 4:00 p.m.

According to a social media post from the City of Savannah , Congress St. between Barnard and Whitaker will also be closed August 25 through August 27, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Drivers are advised to use caution when in the area and to prepare their travels accordingly.
