Cleveland police are back to flying drones — and this time, it’s under new rules. The department had grounded the devices for almost a year after criticism over their use at a protest.
But earlier this month, officers sent multiple drones to monitor crowds at an outdoor event downtown featuring hometown music star Machine Gun Kelly. It marked the first flights since an official policy was put in place that is meant to balance public safety with civil liberties.
