LAWRENCE, Kan. (KWCH) - The University of Kansas football team is kicking off the season early.
The Jayhawks play a Week Zero game on Saturday against Fresno State at the newly renovated David Booth Memorial Stadium.
There’s a new look at the north and west ends of the stadium as well as a new video board in the south end zone.
Fans can enjoy upgraded food with cheaper prices for students. Some of the new items include a 21-inch Philly cheesesteak and a double-patty burger with the thickness of a steak.
This is just Phase 1 of the Gateway District that will ultimately redefine the north end of KU’s campus.
