PEMBROKE, N.Y. — A fatal collision involving a bus on the I-90 Eastbound between Exit 49 (Route 78) and Exit 48A has shut down all lanes of traffic, according to the New York State Police.

New York State Police say there are multiple fatalities, entrapments, and injuries.

Mercy Flight says there were 52 people on the bus. There are multiple injuries, but they don't know how many need a medical transport.

Four people needed to be taken by helicopter:

Two minor to Oishei Children's Hospital

One adult to ECMC

One adult to Strong Memorial Hospital

Mercy Flight also confirmed that two helicopters are on their way back to the scene now.

A spokesperson for ECMC confirmed they have received seven patients so far.

Traffic delays were first reported around 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
