Anne Arundel man arrested after crashing into Maryland State Police car and injuring trooper
COLLEGE PARK, MD — A 42-year-old man is facing multiple charges after authorities say he slammed into a Maryland State Police patrol car early Thursday on the Capital Beltway, injuring a trooper during a traffic stop in Prince George’s County.
The incident happened around 12:47 a.m., when a trooper pulled over a blue Lincoln and another trooper parked behind him with emergency lights activated. Police said Damien Haman of Anne Arundel County drove a Dodge Charger into the rear of the second patrol vehicle, forcing it forward and pinning the first trooper between his cruiser and the stopped Lincoln.
The trooper managed to free himself and was taken to a hospital for treatment before being release
