COLCHESTER, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) - Colchester police said Friday that they had arrested a man the day before after he reportedly sought help detonating a bomb.

Essex Police said that Justin L. Perkins, 40, brought a pipe bomb, a type of improvised explosive device, to a jobsite on Dylan Avenue off Severance Road in Colchester last week. He reportedly asked for assistance in detonating the bomb, and gave up after being refused.

Colchester Police arrested Perkins on Thursday. He is currently being held without bail and the investigation is ongoing.
