KALAMAZOO, MI — The next time you see a Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office vehicle, it may look a little different.

The sheriff’s office is rolling out a new design for the department’s cruisers, the agency announced Friday, Aug. 22.

The first two to hit the streets are the department’s K-9 units, with several more rolling out in the coming weeks, the sheriff’s office said.

“Same dedication, same service, just a sharp new design you’ll be seeing around Kalamazoo County,” the agency said, posting a video of the new design online.

The new look features a black finish with light-colored lettering.

Undersheriff Michelle Greenlee said there was no additional cost to the budget to change the vehicles over to the new look from their old color palette that’s been in place for years.
