The Bitterroot Secret Garden Tour donated $25,000 to the Fox Hollow Animal Project, which spays and neuters local animals as an alternative to euthanasia. The board of the tour presented the check to the nonprofit on Thursday.

The tour started in 2014 and every year the tour board selects five gardens between Florence and Grantsdale to include, selling tickets for $45 and donating the proceeds to a local charity of their choosing.

Previous awarded charities included the domestic violence shelter SAFE in the Bitterroot, Bitter Root Humane Association, Emma's House Children's Advocacy Center, and Volunteer Fire Departments in Hamilton, Stevensville and Corvallis, among others.
