The Town of Stevensville posted the results from the first round of growth policy surveying on their website last week. Survey data illustrated an array of public opinion that the town hopes will inform their new policy.
A majority of the 146 participants who filled out the growth policy update survey, which stopped admitting responses on Aug. 8, expressed a common interest in tending to the town’s aging water and sewer infrastructure and lack of affordable housing.
Of the 146 respondents, 107 said the importance of addressing the town’s water and sewer system as well as the rates paid by residents was critical. Eighty-five respondents said the town’s water system was among the top three projects they’d like to see addressed in the future.
