PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. — Vice President JD Vance was in Peachtree City on Wednesday to tout what he described as the accomplishments of the measure Republicans called "the big beautiful bill."

The measure cuts taxes, but critics say it also threatens health care for Medicaid recipients.

Vance was at a refrigeration plant, which Republicans said benefited from the Trump administration's environmental deregulation.

"This manufacturing facility is what makes America great," Vance declared from the podium.

Vance was here to tout President Trump's tax and immigration policies – and to badmouth Democrats opposing them – specifically Democrat John Ossoff, the Georgia senator seeking re-election next year.
