A registered sex offender was arrested Thursday on accusations he tried to lure a 13-year-old to meet him for sex, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office.

David M. Baxter, 56, a Hanson resident, is a level 3 sex offender on the Massachusetts Sex Offender Registry Board. He has multiple convictions dating back to 1994.

According to the DA, police in Kingston were called to a Summer Street gas station around 9:40 p.m. after receiving a call that a man was trying to meet up with minors for sex.
