Y-3 – Adidas ‘ long-running high fashion collaboration with designer Yohji Yamamoto – celebrated the opening of its new store in NYC on Thursday night.

Located at 25 Howard Street in the SoHo neighborhood of Manhattan, the 2,000-square-foot store features the brand’s sports-meets-fashion apparel, footwear and accessories line.

True to the spirit of both the Three Stripes and Yamamoto, the new permanent home for the brand is imbued with Y-3 ’s signature aesthetic – a minimalist visual language punctuated by metal, steel and wood elements – and aims to continue to unite fashion, sport and culture all in one space.

Along with the store’s opening celebration , Y-3 also feted its new tennis collection, which launched earlier this week in tandem with the start of the US Open in New Y
