VERNON, Conn. (WTNH) – A 43-year-old man was rescued after getting stuck in a slide at school playground in Connecticut on Saturday, according to first responders.

Fire and EMS crews responded to the playground at Northeast Elementary School in Vernon at about 4:30 p.m., where they found a man "wedged feet and head first" in the slide and "stuck in the middle portion," the Town of Vernon Fire Department wrote on Facebook.

"We have never received this type of call before," Assistant Fire Chief Robert Babcock said.
