A Hanson man who is listed as a level 3 sex offender was arraigned on charges that accuse him of luring a 13-year-old online and attempting to meet up with them in person, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz said Friday.

David M. Baxter, 56, pleaded not guilty to one count each of attempt to commit a crime, enticement of a child under the age of 16 and trafficking of a person under 18 for sexual servitude.

He is listed on a national registry for sex offenders .

Baxter entered his plea in Plymouth District Court on Friday and was held without bail — awaiting a dangerousness hearing scheduled for August 29, Cruz’s office said.
