West Nile virus has been detected in a mosquito collected from a trap in Worcester , the city announced Friday afternoon.
As a result of this discovery, the Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project (CMMCP) will be spraying pesticides from trucks on Tuesday, Aug. 26 after 9 p.m. where the insects with West Nile virus were found, according to city spokesperson Thomas Matthews.
The following areas will be sprayed:

Faraday Street
Grove Street
Humboldt Avenue
Lancaster Street
Lancaster Terrace
Lexington Street
Magnolia Avenue
Milton Street
North East Avenue
North Street
Powers Court
Prescott Street
Rumford Avenue
Rural Drive
Sagamore Road
Salisbury Street
South Boundary Avenue
South East Avenue
