JACKSON, Mich. (WILX) - Over 60 animals were recovered from a home in Jackson County Thursday night, almost all of which were small-breed dogs.

The seizure was confirmed by the Jackson County Animal Shelter and Animal Control on social media Friday afternoon.

Officials say 61 small dogs and one cat were removed from the property. 58 dogs and the cat were taken back to the shelter.

The cat was described as “the coolest cat” that lived outside near the property.

The dogs are now in the process of being vetted for adoption.
