Cracker Barrel is facing a public firestorm after rebranding its logo and redesigning its stores. Some are calling the new logo "woke," which ditches the image of a man leaning across a barrel from the design. Amid the disappointment, the company's stock price dropped more than 12 percent on Thursday before recovering a bit.

The logo also drops the words “Old Country Store” and is now just a basic emblem with only the words “Cracker Barrel” written on a gold background.

The Tennessee-based company, which operates nearly 660 locations across the U.S., said in its announcement that its revised logo is "now rooted even more closely to the iconic barrel shape and word mark that started it all.”
