Set up at the Cornwall Square, fundraising efforts kicked off bright and early at 6 a.m. Thursday for the 19th-annual Corus Caring Hearts Radiothon.

It was a long day of encouraging charity on-air for members of Corus Entertainment and the Cornwall Community Hospital Foundation (CCHF) who hosted the event. In the end, after 13 hours of securing donations from members of the public, the event reached what the team believed to be the second-highest amount of contributions ever raised during the radiothon, with a grand total of $155,088.

In 2023, the event broke its record by raising $157,860.
