Attorney General Lynn Fitch announced the sentencing of Devante Dominic Jefferson, of Gulfport, on multiple charges related to promoting prostitution and drug possession.
Jefferson was convicted on four counts of promoting prostitution and one count of possession of a controlled substance following an investigation led by the Attorney General’s Office, with assistance from the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
On August 14, 2025, Jackson County Circuit Court Judge Calvin Taylor sentenced Jefferson to seven years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC), followed by three years of post-release supervision.
