GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Community members were invited to Joannes Park from 1 to 5 p.m. on Friday for a giveaway surrounded by food and fun as schools prepare to reopen for the academic year.

Streetz Soul Food Trailer, a food truck that serves food throughout the Green Bay area, hosted the School Supply Drive, inviting kids and parents to pick up supplies for the upcoming academic year.

The supplies available varied, but many of the popular choices were backpacks, donated by community members and others alike.

The event also featured free food along with raffle prizes, face painting and games, along with the chance to get a haircut and makeover to look stylish ahead of the new year.
