IOWA CITY, Iowa (KWWL) - A 17-year-old from Iowa City has been arrested and charged with attempted murder, following a shooting investigation by police.

Four people were shot in the area of East Court Street during the overnight hours of August 3rd.

Iowa City Police have charged Moayed Elsid with attempted murder. They are also charged with possession of a firearm as a felon.

Officers also arrested another juvenile and charged them with possession of a firearm as a felon.

All four victims were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The incident remains under investigation and police say more arrests are likely.
