LUBBOCK, Texas -- Texas Tech senior defensive back Cole Wisniewski was named to the Comeback Player of the Year watch list, as he plans to make his return from injury this season.
The award honors athletes who have overcame injuries or other setbacks to return to the gridiron. After the regular season ends, a panel of voters will select three players to receive the award, with the winners being announced at the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl in January.
Wisniewski is prepping for first season in Lubbock after spending his previous years at North Dakota State. While with the Bisons, he was a consensus first-team 2023 All-American in the FCS division. He led all of Division I in interceptions this season, as he hawked eight passes. Additionally, he recorded 92 tackles and broke up five passes while in c
