ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Some Albany tenants spoke out after they were displaced by a fire at Tivoli Park Apartments. NEWS10 talked to those residents and city officials about the electrical fire and what they want to see happen next.

Tenants, in the 457 Livingston Avenue building, described the chaotic scene that unfolded on Saturday, August 18. Patrice Edwards McCall recalls how she had been enjoying the summer evening with her children, laughing and joking, when suddenly panic sank in.

“I looked out and my neighbor was frantic. Eyes just tears, pulling out her children out the home. And it scared me, but it had put me into action for me to get my other neighbors out and scream, ‘Everybody out. Everybody clear’,” said Edwards McCall.
