EAST LANSING — The start of the Haslett Road construction project has been postponed until early September, and some of the work won't happen until next spring, city officials said.

Officials had earlier announced that Haslett would be closed to traffic from Saginaw Highway to Hagadorn Road from Aug. 25 to late September. The second phase of the project would have closed Haslett from Hagadorn to west of Park Lake Road from late September until November.

A revised construction schedule calls for the project to begin Sept. 2 with a full closure of Haslett between Hagadorn and Park Lake roads, officials said in an Aug. 22 news release.
