NEWBURGH, Maine (WABI) - Authorities have released the name of the man killed in a head-on crash with a tractor trailer on Route 69 in Newburgh Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office, 66-year-old Peter Williams of Searsmont died at the scene along with his dog.
The Sheriff’s Office said they found a video that showed Williams had crossed into the path of the tractor trailer.
They said the tractor trailer then left the road and struck a garage causing extensive damage.
The driver of the tractor trailer was assessed for injuries but was not taken to the hospital.
