A Deep Ellum nightclub will stay closed at least another two weeks after a Dallas judge Friday extended a temporary restraining order against Rodeo Dallas.

While the court case continues, Dallas Mayor Pro Tem Jesse Moreno provided an update Friday to business owners on steps to improve safety and keep the entertainment district thriving.

The update comes one month after business owners pleaded for a response from the city following three murders on the streets in Deep Ellum near popular nightlife venues.

Moreno said Dallas police have added mounted patrol units that will be visible on weekend nights until the start of the State Fair of Texas.
