A few isolated showers popped up on Friday but most areas remained rain-free. Skies will clear out overnight, and then we will look for a typical summer weekend in North Texas.

The good news: outdoor plans this weekend should be in great shape. Both Saturday and Sunday will remain rain-free, But it will be hot and humid with highs in the mid to upper 90s, and a Heat Index making it feel like 100.

Next week brings a welcome change. A cold front will slide into the area on Tuesday, bringing below normal temperatures with highs in the mid to upper 80s and increasing rain chances that will last much of the week.
