The lawyers defending the local Catholic diocese against a lawsuit claiming Bishop Luers High School officials failed to act on reported sexual exploitation want the adult accusers to drop their anonymity, according to a court filing obtained today.

The lawsuit stems from allegations about systemic failure to protect female Bishop Luers students from sexual exploitation involving pornographic videos created by male students. The boys allegedly superimposed their female classmates' names on the explicit content, portraying them as participants in sexual acts.

The complaint was filed on behalf of nine current and former students along with many of their parents.

Court documents have shielded their identities by referring to them as Jane Does.
