CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A Milford community is rallying together to help a local dance teacher who is in search of a new kidney.

Phyllis Gregory says the nine hours a week she spends at dialysis often leave her unable to do anything else during the day. She said she just wants the opportunity to enjoy life again."

“It’s not really living, ya know? It’s just keeping you alive,” Gregory said.

The search that consumes Gregory. After being diagnosed with high blood pressure in 2008 and starting dialysis in 2023, the line dance teacher tells me she wants to get her life back.

“Even though I have warmers and jackets and blankets, I still get really cold; it really wears on your body,” she said.
