NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Cirque du Soleil's show, "Ovo" is coming to New Orleans, and WGNO's Kenny Lopez got the chance to talk with one of the show's talented acrobats, ahead of the show.
Hand balancing acrobat and performer Kyle Cragle stopped by the WGNO studio to show us some of the acrobats he does in "Ovo."
Cragle's been part of "Ovo" since 2016.
"I do have a story of running away with the circus. I started gymnastics, 20 years ago when I was 7 years old, and as a 9-year-old, my parents brought me to a Cirque du Soleil show, and I was completely enthralled. I told my parents that I wanted to become an acrobat. I went to circus school in Montreal, Canada, which was right across from the Cirque du Soleil headquarters and when I graduated, they offered me a contract to come on the show,"
