Friday’s D.C. weather told of humidity, in its utter absence

Questions about what Washington would be like without the humidity seemed to get an answer on Friday: It would be great. Idyllic. Delightful, brimming with all the blessings and beauties of sun splashed summer.

At four o’clock in the afternoon, summer seemed to be making a vigorous and successful effort to show itself the way it might like to be remembered, putting its best meteorological foot forward. The August sun shone in a bright blue sky, and it was pleasantly warm, and it was wonderfully dry.
