DAYTON, Ky. —

New details are being released about the cause of the fire that burned a Dayton home as a father raced into the flames to save his family.

“You can see in the video that he’s clicking it and the covers end up lighting up,” said Marshall Kilgore.

Kilgore is the father of five children who were in the home when it went up in flames earlier this month.

The video shows his three-year-old who has autism playing with a lighter on a bed and it quickly catches fire.

Kilgore is alerted to the fire by the screams of his daughter.

He was seen on security video running into the rooms that were on fire to save the children.
