(The Hill) — California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) teased campaign merchandise akin to President Trump’s MAGA items in a post Friday, a decision that coincides with his mimicking of the president on social media.

“NEW MERCH COMING SOON! YOU’RE WELCOME, PATRIOTS!” Newsom wrote in a post on the social platform X, with several American flag emojis.

The post featured a photo of a red hat similar to ones the Trump campaign sells, with white print that reads “NEWSOM WAS RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING!”

Trump, earlier on Friday, was seen in the White House wearing a red hat with the words "TRUMP WAS RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING!"
